According to figures published by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2012, each year there are 1.8 million new cases of people suffering from lung cancer.
In addition to cancer prostate and colon cancer, the cancer of the lung is of oncological diseases that primarily affect the man.
"Due to smoking there is a higher prevalence in men, however, it must be said that every day there are more women smokers and they begin to match the statistics between both genders," said the deputy medical director of the night shift at the Hospital de Especialidades del Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) in Jalisco.
Santoyo said that "about one of every four deaths from cancer due to cancer of the lung, in fact, there is talk that more people die from cancer of the lung that cancer prostate, colon, and breast ."
SOME FACTORS THAT CAN CAUSE LUNG CANCER:
1. A familial inheritance
2. High levels of air pollution,
3. Exposure to high levels of arsenic in drinking water, and radiation.
One sad thing is the diagnosis is usually late. According to the WHO, only 1 in 4 cases is diagnosed in time to reach the cure.
To avoid lung cancer, people quit smoking as soon as possible to limit their damage and even better that they avoid using tobacco, and that complications may appear years after they quit.
