A pregnant woman is more likely to experience spotting. You will notice pink and brown spots which are extremely normal. If your bleeding is not accompanied by fever and red blood spots there is no reason to panic.
Weight Gain
Weight gain in twin pregnancy is more than the normal pregnancy. this is due to an obvious reason that you are carrying two babies with two placentas and more amniotic fluid. On an average normal weight gain in pregnancy is 25 pounds while in the twin pregnancy it can range between 30 to 35 pounds.
Two Heart Beats
Hearing the heart beat of one's baby for the first time is the most memorable experience for every parent. During your prenatal visit you can hear your baby’s heart beat through a Doppler system. By the ninth week of pregnancy the heart beat of the twins can be separately heard. However, it is not that easy as sometimes they can’t be identified separately.
Hunger Pangs
Women in their 30s and 40s are more likely to become pregnant with twins. This is because as you get older, the ovulatory cycles become fewer. At this stage, there are more chances that two follicles are ovulated at the same time.
