3 Major Symptoms of COVID-19

The spread of SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19, known commonly as the coronavirus, is reaching new level everyday. Therefore, it is not bad if you can know about the virus. We are going to look at three major symptoms of coronavirus. This will help to detect the virus as early as possible and avoid any negative effects of not knowing in time to our personal health and to the wellbeing of others.  Detecting the virus in someone as early as possible will prevent the undue spreading of the disease.

Symptoms of the Coronavirus
The U.S. Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) have stated that the majority of COVID-19 cases are mild. Because it's in the coronavirus family which contains many other strains of flu, COVID-19 will initially present with flu-like symptoms. These flu-like symptoms include:

3 Major Symptoms of COVID-19

1. Fever
2. Cough
3. Shortness of breath
Generally, these symptoms will present between 2-14 days after coming into contact with the virus. If left untreated, these symptoms could become unmanageable and require hospitalization, so testing is recommended as early as possible.

In mild cases, fever may not be present – especially in younger people – so it's important to be tested even if you do not have a fever.

If you feel like you have contacted COVID-19, you should contact a doctor immediately or if you feel that someone you know has been infected, advice such a person to seek for medical help, so that a laboratory test can be conducted to determine whether the illness is COVID-19 or a case of the flu.
