UCH will get fund for facility upgrade - Osinbajo

Nigeria vice president Osibajo said, “We want to offer affordable, accessible and qualitative health care to all Nigerians, irrespective of social status and location. At the heart of this vision is our goal of providing basic health care to all.

“The UCH is one of the eight initial tertiary health facilities that the FG will be upgrading through the investment of the Sovereign Wealth Fund. Soon the hospital will get its own funding.

“For the first time in almost two decades, we are spending as much as 30 per cent of our budget on infrastructure. The 2016 capital stand on N1.3tr is the highest in the nation’s history. Yet, we are still a long way from adequate dealing with the massive infrastructure deficit. We have to seek greater private sector spending.”
