The flag off event was a hand washing demonstration by the wife of
the governor and the village head of Rukubolo. After which all
stakeholders took turns to perform a different component of the MNCH-N.
Also in the Yauri PHC and later that night in Wara General Hospital, Ngaski, equipment distributed to the zone earlier was formally handed over to hospital staff. The equipment include beds, wheelchairs, surgical instruments, screens, ward furniture etc. The items which are to be distributed across 4 emirates of the state.
In Ngaski LG, Dr Zainab Bagudu was conferred with the traditional title of ‘Jurman Mata’ of Maginga by the Emir. Thanking him on her behalf, the chairman Ngaski LG Alhaji Garba Wara said she was indeed a worthy example of a women leader.
